Staging at the Alumni Show at University of Hertfordshire.

Staging went well.  One of the new students, Miles, staged my work for me.  It looked good.  Three red tea towels with the black coat one side and the new piece for Mrs Konieczny the other.

And I have found the title for the new piece - "Portrait of Mrs Konieczny".  This plays on it being a portrait, rather than a sampler.  I want the focus to be on the person and her skills, rather than the stitch on a sampler.

It was good to see the work of the graduating students.  Debbie Maya (ceramics) and Debbie Longville (textiles) had some great work.  I particularly liked Debbie Longville's work because it was a very considered bereavement piece, with line drawings of a person with the part of the body that was fatally unwell indicated.  Excellent.
